Now, getting and keeping both; that will put the shits up everyone else. That attack force would be outstanding!
Kanj
For everyone’s benefit, he was asked about the Newcastle move and he said he would have come here if not for Paris sweeping in, a club he said he could never turn down as a French footballer. Scoot
Struggle to see that happening but pleased to see we are still interested in a forward who can play in a number of positions.

The Prophet
I know we rarely move away from targets, but I just can't see this at all. £80 million plus price tag. Carbon copy of Isak. Not guaranteed to be playing week in week out. Dicked us about before. Edited July 12, 2025 by The Prophet

kenlau88210
I have a feeling that this will happen. Isak has not signed a new contract and I think it is fair to say he is likely to leave by next summer unless we do incredibly well next season. So the club is looking to sign his eventual replacement. Ekitike fits the bill. Edited July 12, 2025 by kenlau88210

Mazzy
The alternative is he's obviously a rotation for Isak but then in certain games where we've struggled historically (Man City away/Liverpool Away). We'd go with this. Maybe with Scalvini instead of Schar.
Stottie
Feck it I say yes! As things stand, it probably costs one of Gordon and Tino, but I want us to aim high. I'm more convinced by Tino at LB where we have Hall. We'll also have to see what the league can do against Man City's legal team as the charges come due. The related parties part of FFP may end up toothless, in which case PIF can just throw the money in sponsoring our training kit.

Every player doesn't play every game and the kind of game I'm talking about is the really top level away games against City and Liverpool and probably someone like Madrid/Barca/Bayern in the UCL. Kimbo
If we’re in for Ekitike then I think the club is expecting Isak to go this summer. This is the first time I’ve considered it a possibility. Edited July 12, 2025 by Kimbo

If Isak is going this summer we'd need more than just Ekitike. We'd need him plus another VERY good ST and we would probably not be haggling over an extra £2M for Trafford right now. madras
From the little Ive seen, Ekitike has shown more at Frankfurt than Isak did at Sociedad and Dortmund.
