He's got a tear in his Cruciate ligament and is out until November at the earliest.

he's out with a cruciate ligament injury he picked up in March. So I wouldn't have thought he'd be available until ~October at the earliest?

Ahh okay, that explains it.

Wilson list: Mateta or Wissa or Guirhassy

Isak list: Offer Juve 50-60m for David, so they make an immediate profit on him, or double the money Galatasary paid for Osimhen

Or take one of Thuram or Martinez from Inter

Ronaldo on loan from Al-Nassr would be epic just for the PR

Here he is again. With his ridiculous list of players that we won’t sign in a million years

Strand Larsen Is probably the striker I’d want us to get now, if he hadn’t just joined Wolves. Shows it’s possible to find these players outside the league though.

think his movement is really top class. They’ll sell him for a massive profit in the next couple of years.

This would be so bad transfer plan, that I doubt even Joe Kinnear could do better job.

They can show pace. Power. Good ball manipulation. Mateta for example catches my eye when up against the top sides.

I'd say the opposite about Mateta, he's always looked a bit of a flat track bully.

Palace are much better than Wolves too.

It'd be boring if we all had the same takes though.

This situation is why I don’t get the sniggering we had towards someone like Vardy.

One year deal, even if it’s £100k pw is £5m. That’s a drop in the ocean for having someone who can score goals in our side, has a good fitness record, then he’s off end of season. It’s not some mockery signing, it’s plugging a short term gap.

Desperately dropping £60m+ on someone like Jackson, 5 year deal, who was like 10th on our list (maybe lower) is more of a mockery and laughable action.

A bit left field but watched Bournemouth at the weekend and if Semenyo is available for 55m I think he could do a good job for us up front until Jan.

Personally, I only consider goals SteV. Lots and lots of glorious net busting goals.
Joking aside, Osimhen (admittedly never seen live and mainly highlights rather than full games) is the best out and out striker I have seen since prime Shearer. I’d happily splurge everything we can get for Isak on him (assuming he would come and isn’t an absolute arsehole).

Really? The best striker/number 9 type you’ve seen in the last 19 years. Is a bloke now playing for Galatasaray. With this opinion being based mainly on highlights. Which usually tend to only show the best bits and the goal action.

I dunno mate. I think that’s a bit dodgy

This is exactly why all the fucking about in June and July was so frustrating at the time, the consequences of not getting a striker earlier in the window (even if we did have to play more than we would have liked) are being felt now. The prices were always going to go through the roof the longer we held off. We're now between a rock and a hard place and there's a genuine risk of not having a single adequate striker at the club after the window has closed. I can understand not being held over a barrel and paying too much - I completely get it. Once you overpay for one player then you're going to see every other club do the same - it's sound logic. Problem is, what are the consequences of not paying it and being forced to play about 30 games without one? Pick your poison

Getting Thiaw and Ramsey went some way towards saving the window but not sorting the striker problem would send it back into failure. It was the priority position :hmm:

Back-up striker was a priority position it wasn't "the" priority, we've been thrown into chaos because of Isak and him alone.

Dodgy it may be, but true nonetheless. As good in the air as Sir Les, as sharp around the box as Blackburn era Shearer. Fires in from angles like van Basten. Would love to see him in the PL; with us obvs.
And I have a long history of such idolisation, on limited ‘exposure’, spent years pretending to be Paulo Rossi after one good World Cup 😉

It would [emoji38]

I just remember him giving Liverpool a VVD problems the couple of games I’ve seen him up against them and equally causing Man City’s back line severe discomfort.

I get your point Palace are a better team but was basing it more on 1v1 duels etc and the effect he had solely.

Not saying we should sign him either just think the Wolves lad looks nothing special at all in the few times I’ve seen him. Didn’t he have a stinker against us?

I thought Larson was absolutely shite but I must have just caught him on a couple of bad games. Retrospectively looking at him though he does look a tidy striker.

I still think Wissa is the one like, he's perfect for that clinical super sub role he'll inevitably drop too, and is more than capable of leading the line this year.

My hopes are "more Wissa developments". For all the hype, this may just be a cheeky ask for an extra 5M once negotiations are done. Fuck our pride and just pay it. It will cement this as an "at least quite good in the end" transfer window. Instead of us still running round like maniacs.

Real paid more for Trent just to get him two weeks early for promotion purposes.

Strand Larsen would be a great signing and a good chance Wolves would sell if the money was right, so they can invest in maybe 3 new signings.

I wouldn’t have an issue going with Strand Larsen and Wissa if Isak moved abroad.

Would have to be sharpish though.

Im sure Ive posted on here and conversation with some Wolves fans last season and they said Strand Larsen would be a breakout as soon as he goes to a better team.
