IMO it's the fact Tino just seems to like / engage more in defending.

Hall has had to learn how to defend with aggression. It's not his nature. Part of that may be hesitation due to overall physicality vs fast and strong wingers.

Part of that will be Tino is the physical measure of any winger. Not just fast but strong and good in the air.

He needs a massive contract upgrade and for as long as possible, the Cartel will start the media machine in January with an aim to unsettling him next summer.

You'd hope they'd learnt a lesson from the Isak saga.

Bluechips need to always have 3 years on their contract.

I think if we are being honest, we should be scouting his replacement, same with Hall. We need to be in the strongest position possible so that when the cunts come knocking, we either sell once again at an astronomical price or hold without panicking for a replacement. If we can continue to sell high but bring in quality, we will eventually challenge these cunts.

Getting new promising backup for our fullbacks should be our next aim regardless.

Trippier getting old. Krafth somewhat the same in combination of not being that high quality.

Likes of Tino / Hall are priceless, can’t scout their replacements in the short term. Tino is exceptional at RB and LB, that type of full back and English is rare. Then Hall will be HG next season, just beyond selling at any price point.

Extending contracts doesn't really impact PSR that much anyways.

Increased wage gets somewhat countered by more spread out amortisation.

no i dont mean to improve PSR standing.

i mean we have some headroom now so we can improve some contracts - what we (allegedly) couldnt do with isak last year.

I understood what you said, but I dont really think PSR have hindered us from improving contracts, since it gets countered by lower amortisation. Atleast in the short term.

Why Isak didn't get one could have different reasons, not breaking the wage structure for a cunt being one of them ;)

Happy for someone to correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't we now bound by Uefa's more strict 70% wages to turnover ratio with being in Europe?

If so, I'd think that's the financial rule more likely to make us hesitant to hand out improved contracts than PSR.

I would probably have him back at RB permanently TBH, and bring Hall in as permanent LB. That's the future of the team.

Trippier was fairly solid defensively tonight. Him, Tino and Hall will all play loads this season probably. Just rotate them based on form and fitness.
