I've always said I like the idea of keeping young players around rather than loans so they can train with the squad, feel involved, learn from Eddie, etc. with Miley though he's already had a run of senior games, played at the highest level. Just feel a season of regular football would be his natural next step.

I was having this debate with a mate the other day, he was wondering why I didn't want an English club to win the CL. Now I wouldn't begrudge Villa so much as it would be a big fingers up at the elite clubs but I have no real like for any of the remaining CL clubs, Dortmund would probably be my number one pick from here. As mentioned in the other competitions with the remaining clubs I have no desire for them to win. I didn't mind West Ham taking the Conference a few years back.

To be honest I think I’d be more frustrated with Spurs or Mancs winning Europa and parachuting into Champions League after season they have had. It doesn’t guarantee a turnaround next season by any means, but it gives them more of a chance.

Radio Newcastle last night on way home, they were on about this and apparently there is an actual 'Friendly Cup' trophy between these two losers! It was apparently on display at that thing they held a few weeks back celebrating the 1985 losing Milk Cup team (the day after our cup win, ironically). Had to laugh when they said the actual 'Friendly Cup' was there that night, but unfortunately the League Cup wasn't available.

I don't think he should be loaned out, he's already shown he's good enough to play for the first team, even played in the champions league and held his own, next year we will definitely have more games and it will be a chance to give him more minutes and continue his progress.

I understand the sentiment but loans aren't free. In order to loan Miley out we would need to incur two additional loan fees plus wages which are likely much higher than Mileys. We need Eddie to give the lad more minutes as we don't have the option to loan him out imo.

I can’t chill. I’m too defensive of our club. I want Man City to win the FA Cup and no English team winning the UCL as I want US to be the story when this season is reviewed. We’re the coming team. Our first trophy in 70 years is unique and special. I don’t want people saying it was a year of firsts for smaller clubs, with say Palace winning the FA Cup and Villa the UCL. As much as I’m glad they won because it confirms England’s 5th place, even though it was happening in anyway, I want them to lose. I want all the English teams to lose and go out. The Champions League I don’t want any other English team to win because of jealousy, the Europa League, or Conference League I’m less concerned about, but the clubs left are Man Utd, Spurs, and Chelsea, so fuck them.
