Not sure we're after a carbon copy of Isak tbh, although I do like the idea of us signing a country like Georgia's best striker. Sat with a couple of Georgians in Crete watching the CL final and they were basically PSG fans because of Kvaratskhelia.
-
Georges Mikautadze. Striker at Lyon. Player who compares closest to Isak on FBRef: https://fbref.com/en/players/4788cb6b/Georges-Mikautadze

Smokescreen my moneys on Bastoni.
-
Tony Bloom-ball on a watered down version up at Hearts. Braga the most expensive signing since 2007. Club record is still John Robertson from Newcastle when they gave us the money back that we paid for him for around £800k.

Next week. Or the week after.
-
I’m sure this is the week we’ll step up our transfer activity. Or was that last week?
-
Looking forward to having the two most talented but injury prone CBs since King and Woodgate on the books.
-
Seems they have a new straw to clutch regarding current middle east conflict, and our ownership... But, but, I thought they were happy for us to be morally bereft, and having blood on wa hands, marra???

Like reading Hitler on a hit of Pervatin. Rantings of a madman.

Didn’t be recover remarkably quickly from his ACL injury ?
-
Another gem from Sporty. The daft cunts even outdone himself this time. It's going to be great seeing their world fall apart again as they're stuck in bottom place throughout the season, until they slide back down to their rightful place
-
He missed 65 games in 4 seasons- add up the games missed on that injury report.
-
With this guy and Botman we might get a combined 30 games between them
-
WW3 will sort that out, thankfully.

Really not arsed about this one. That armband craic this season was poor.. good player or not, there’s a huge question mark over whether he’d be a good fit or not. If we did sign him you can guarantee that question will get asked of the manager at the next press conference.
-
Agree that he ends up at Chelsea or Liverpool. Most likely next season. If they sign his replacement and don’t play him. That might force him to Move. But most likely he’ll do a Konate and go for free next season

His Mrs and kids never left. They stayed in school up here and he’s going to stay when he’s finished.

We'd have said that about Clark when he was playing too. But not just Premier League players are involved here so where do we draw the line? "It makes sense to run your contract down in the Championship to maximise your pay, but not in the Prem"? Doesn't make any sense. Then what about Ligue 1? La Liga? Eredivisie? What about if a Sunderland player's contract runs out between promotion and relegation again, do they count as Championship or PL? Then you get to not all teams being the same size in each league, so a league rule makes no sense anyway. Plus not all players at any team get the same pay. Basically, you can't draw a line within a continuum without looking silly, especially when the teams making up that continuum aren't static themselves within it. Even pointing out individuals who will 'definitely' be OK like TAA, aside from that being ridiculous as shown above, well why should they have to leave tens of millions on the table out of some altruistic idealism, ceding a massive portion of their value to a multi billion pound corporation? Fuck that.
