themanupstairs
Thing is even if he doesn't actually leave - to San Lorenzo at least seems very unlikely - what effect will this have on the rest of the players and Colo's own performances which have been indifferent recently? Unless he personally comes out and rubbishes the claims, OR admits that he wants to go and absolves all parties connected to NUFC from any blame, then it could potentially be disastrous. Proper end of days stuff for NUFC.
Dave
Hearing Fabricio Coloccini included in the squad for the trip to #ncfc #nufc despite uncertainty about his future. And rightly so. We're on our fucking knees.
Dave
Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC Important to stress Colocinni is going through something of a crisis in his personal life. Not about football.

We're on our f***ing knees. We probably just can't physically take anyone else. It'll be a cardboard cutout or something.
Ketsbaia
Letting him leave in the summer would be a decent compromise, I guess. Just hope we can persuade him to, out of loyalty and because he's normally such a professional.
Big Geordie
I'm not sure picking him is a good idea, even if we are that badly off at the moment. He could have a feckin mare tomorrow.

Not about football. In which case, he should make a statement to that effect. He doesn't need to disclose what it is if it's personal but at least end the circus! themanupstairs
I'm not sure picking him is a good idea, even if we are that badly off at the moment. He could have a feckin mare tomorrow. And if he does, the fans will turn on him like wildfire. It would probably be the end of his time here certainly. Could burn too many bridges. As it stands, there is still a tiny glimmer that this is all bollocks, or that he could be persuaded to change his mind. Fucking dilemma.
The College Dropout
A family crisis is a family crisis people. If it's true I doubt we'll have a proper compromise. Worst case scenario, he buggers off to Argentina and we stop paying him. He's trying to go the gentleman route.
Guest Geordiesned
Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC Important to stress Colocinni is going through something of a crisis in his personal life. Not about football. We're all going through a crisis in our NUFC supporting personal lives as well but we can't request to move to another teams fan base! Dokko
It's either not serious enough for him to hand in a transfer request, or he's too gutless to do it. San Lorenzo, himself and sponsors need to come up with a huge chunk of cash or he's here for the next 3.5 years. If he refuses to play then he can go back home, with no further earnings and us holding on to his registration finishing his career. Lets see how much he doesn't do any of this and is only looking for a soft way out.
