This upset stuff is bollocks when we're at home. Maybe at their place we can talk about upsets, but if predict that Hull City will come to SJP and win then we may as well close the pre-match threads and just assume everyones down for a defeat each week.

Jesus christ. All of you thought we'd get a  thrashing at Aston viila and we won. We drawed against West Ham. We're not a strong home side. Last season we lost to Reading and Weat Ham, two newly promoted sides. We lost to Derby, Blackpool and some others. We go in thinking we have the win and get surprised.

No matter whether we're having a good, average or shit season, we always seem to have at least one awful home result against a promoted side and I think it's most likely to be Hull out of the three that have come up tbh.

Haven't seen anything of Hull this season so just been checking out their side - this is who they started against Cardiff:

01 McGregor

03 Figueroa

05 Chester

06 Davies

27 Elmohamady

08 Huddlestone

10 Koren

11 Brady

14 Livermore

09 Graham

24 Aluko

Doesn't look like too much to worry about there tbh, although Danny Graham is due a goal....

Winning this one and the momentum will be with us really. 3 (PL) wins on the spin, 4 unbeaten would say something and would give us the same mentality that we had in the 11/12 season after beating Sunderland and Fulham early on.

Do it.

Setup perfectly for a classic let down, just as we're beginning to get a little optimistic. We haven't done so well against newly promoted sides either. That being said, if he sticks with the same lineup and tactics we should be taking care of business here. That Hull lineup looks awful. So just win please.

Hate facing Hull. Worst I ever felt in the relegation season was losing to this lot. Fucking hate Craig Fagan to this day.

Its gonna be a tough game and to be honest I'd take a draw as they're the type of team to cause an upset.

At home to a newly promoted team? Dear god...

I say that because of past meetings. Of course we shouldthrash them but I think they'll be a difficult to break down.

That's why we sign players like Remy, Ben Arfa and Cisse. To break down motivated but limited opponents. We should win this and we will.

People worrying because of what happened last time with Hull need to realise how toxic the atmosphere was last time. We would have lost to anyone on that day.

Now we're on the back of 3 straight wins, players in form and playing in proper positions and no significant injuries. We should be looking to boss this game.

We haven't won a league game by more than 1 goal since Southampton last season. That was our only league win by more than one goal last season. This lot will be organised and Bruce will be seething after a series of big fat head/cheer up Steve Bruce chants, and Abdoulaye Faye will doubtless score past us again. Not going to be a walk in the park sadly.
