Stuy_O
The silence has been deafening since the initial stories of the Garde talks. I think it's boiled down to wages. they'll have tired to offer him the pittance they were paying Pardew and he's said no.
KaKa
If they've consulted Colo, perhaps another candidate might have worked with him before? Quick, who was his manager at Deportiva and elsewhere?!
Stuy_O
It's just a consultation mind, not like he's got the final say. If Colo has anything about him surely to fuck he'd say the club needs a proper manager / coach.
Mole_Toonfan
No player should have any say who the manager is imo, if people know NUFC's history they'd know exactly why I think this. Richard f***ing Dinnis. There's a difference between consulting someone and letting them have a say.

Tiresias
It'll be fun to see what happens when carver gets the job and we look like getting relegated
Guest
Could even just be a case of Charnley keeping Colo in the loop and asking his thoughts. Could be owt.
Ryan_Taylor
It's going to be carver isn't it?

ScottishMagpie
Getting prepared for rather bad news here. Wouldn't surprise me if they announce Carver before Saturday. This is me being negative of course. Oh I pray not! I'm in a pickle emotionally.....coming down to see the match on Saturday and really want to see us win. Was hoping we would announce new heid bummer sometime this week at the latest and there would be an optimistic/party atmosphere where we could look forward to where we could go under Garde or whoever and a ass-whooping handed to the koeman and co. .... on the other hand if they do play well and beat Southampton it might strengthen Carver's chances. which is a big fucking nightmare. Just hoping no news is good news and they'll unveil/announce our new leader at half-time on saturday..... like queeny at the olympics...sky diving out of big mikes helicopter. Haz
Why would a business man like Ashley go through the motions. shortlist four, interview one just to give the job to Carver. Relax lads, it's not Carver. Despite his losses, he'd be in the job already.

Not saying I agree with it, but it's pretty normal practice for a club to keep the club captain in the loop of the whole situation. If they are asking him for his opinion on who they should go far and give him a say then fair enough. I don't think it's like that though.
Dokko
We've had our chance with Garde and any other decent manager, we've known pardew was leaving us for nearly 3 weeks now. We're waiting on one of two things, the window to shut to appoint carver or waiting till after Soton when there's a big break to announce him and those angry will have faded by the time football comes back round again. Speaking to colo only enforces this, he's asking whether the players would have any objections to appoint carver, to which they'll say no as most of them couldn't give a fuck under this amateur regime. Stifler
I'm pretty sure they will take Carr's opinion over Colo's and there is no way Carr will allow Carver in charge.

Teasy
Charnley consulting coloccini according to ssn, grim bound to say carver Likely more about gauging what the thoughts of the squad are at the moment rather than "Colo, who should we get as head coach? ". Would also hope Coloccini would have more brains than to want Carver anyway BTW.
mofo
I know odds mean nothing but just went to put a tenner on Caver to soften the blow and he's 2-1 now?? :'( Seriously man if this fucking bloke gets the job...
Mattoon
I'm not sure Colo would want Carver, I'm pretty sure any published soundbites are Colo just trying to stay onside and not rock the boat, you don't want to sound out someone only to have to work under them. Besides I feel Colo is lacking a backbone. Behind closed doors he surely can't want Carver to be manager... Right....Right.... RIGHT?!??!?

Those odds mean fuck all until its practically known by everyone who's getting the job.
duo
Colo is starting to get far too much power at this club if this is true…..first Hatem now this.
