Guest firetotheworks
Livermore, Cook, Loftus-Cheek hahahahahaahahahaa ahead of him Loftus Cheek is absolute quality tbf. We'd know that a lot more if we'd managed to get him at the start of the season.
Happinesstan
Shelvey is like Moses parting the red sea at times.
TRon
The sad thing is, he'd probably find international football suits his style a lot more than the Premier.
Greg
Livermore, Cook, Loftus-Cheek hahahahahaahahahaa ahead of him Loftus Cheek is absolute quality tbf. We'd know that a lot more if we'd managed to get him at the start of the season. He has a lot of potential but he’s far from absolute quality yet. Would like to see him here. We'd know that a lot more if we'd managed to get him at the start of the season. He is proving it, especially lately but Shelvey offers more imo for the world cup. Aye it would have been nice to have had Loftus-Cheek for the season, hopefully next season like.
Timothy K
He's the best English CM on current form, it's criminal if he doesn't get the call up, nobody can offer what he can.
Andy84
How many friendlies are left? Criminal if he’s not even in the preliminary squad, same goes for Jamaal
Numbers
Mental if him and Lascelles are not in the Squad like.
Rod
I watched Cahill today and he was rubbish. To think he is ahead of Lascelles in the England pecking order is outrageous.
Guest firetotheworks
I was going to say that it's probably because how few options there are at centre back, but midfield's arguably worse, especially in terms of creativity. I'd have went with Henderson Oxlade-Chamberlain, but I'd probably go Henderson Wilshire/Shelvey now if we go with that sort of balanced combination. Dave
Merson's a knobhead but he made me laugh on Soccer Saturday today when he said 'if England have seven midfielders better [than Shelvey] then we're going to win the World Cup'.
Ketsbaia
The good pundits and the knobhead pundits are all united in their Shelvey push. It's getting hard to ignore but I'm sure Southgate will.
M4
Of course Southgate will ignore him. It'll be disgusting, but as Shelvey mentioned in the post match MOTD interview he's not heard anything from the England camp. You'd imagine it won't change now. mighty__mag
If Jack Wilshire or Livermoore are included over Shelvey, then southgaye is a moron.
Vinny Green Balls
Seriously hope that's because the y is next to the t
samptime29
I can understand him not starting, but if he's not in the squad, it's an absolute joke. He's exactly the type of Midfielder that would useful to bring off the bench. Livermore FFS
buzza
I think Southgate has probably judged him on his daft antics than his footballing ability, for anyone on the outside (and inside tbh) he looks a complete liability and troublemaker...
Ankles Bennett
Southgate will go with steady and reliable rather than match winners with flair so that's Shelvey well and truly binned.
Guest firetotheworks
Tbf, I've said this a few times now, but if these players probably aren't going to play anyway, you'd probably be looking at players that add to the team spirit.

It'll be disgusting, but as Shelvey mentioned in the post match MOTD interview he's not heard anything from the England camp. You'd imagine it won't change now. Yep, sadly he's not going to suddenly pick someone he's never considered before.
nemtizz
If he doesn’t get picked, which he won’t, it’ll be because he plays for us and not because of his temperament.
