Shame it was Jon Walters who lost his man for the Serbia goal. Comes across such a nice Tory Pardista normally.

In unrelated news the Soloman Islands 'stadium' is my new favourite thing.

And in further updates how much will the Aussies love shitting on vile Syrian dreams in the playoffs. Missing out on automatic could barely have worked out better.

Argentina are playing Perú at home and Ecuador away next. They *should* be fine... Chile has Ecuador at home but then Brazil away...

The group is really tight though, only Bolivia and Venezuela are out, and only Brazil are in at this point. CONMEBOL qualifying being exciting for once.

Ecuador away is extremely difficult, and if you can't beat Venezuela at home you probaby shouldn't expect an easy win against Peru. With that said, they'll finish at least 5th and they'll make the World Cup anyways. Chile on the other hand really needs at least 4 points I'd imagine.

The World Cup qualifier between Senegal and South Africa (that Bafana Bafana won 2-1) from November last year will be replayed after the official was convicted of manipulating the match and banned for life after giving a ridiculous handball penalty decision. South Africa lose their three points and the chance of a better result boosts Senegal who were/are in a precarious spot.

That is crazy, wonder if this is just one bad apple or the just the unlucky one that got caught, last season's Champ refereeing left me wondering at times but it was probably more down to incompetency than anything else.
