Abra Dubravka
What always baffles and annoys me (except from a select handful or pundits/journos) is that like of Redknapp, Sutton, Savage etc. seem to think they know more about a certain club than the clubs' own fans! We've been watching this side for ages now, and know a damn sight more than a Chris Sutton! There all lazy idiots too, which is what annoys me the most. It's not hard to find from Twitter/Forums the general tone of what's going on at any club. You can easily identify the lunatics on Twitter and rule those out, but there is always a sensible consensus to find and interpret into a pundited viewpoint/sound bite/opinion for TV/Radio within 10-15mins of reading and research. Talksport are the worst at airing these morons. Troy Deeney is obviously an expert, and an accurate voice on what's going on at Watford/Villa, but no clue at what's going on with Newcastle/Burnley/Brighton. Agbonlahor = Villa, don't get him to talk about Newcastle. Worst of all is Andy Cole, they get him to talk about us because he played for us, but misses the point constantly - thick as mine anyway, and only knows Man United. Redknapp and Micah Richards are shocking standards for Sky when compared to Keane, Neville, Carra, Souness. Their both on all sorts of games, but have no understanding of the game than your average lad down the pub 5 pints in; and constantly give opinions on other clubs they've clearly ill-researched, or don't know. As someone said earlier its all clickbait for them,in the real world they all know the truth ,ie bruce was never a viable option to begin with. Now its whipping up into a frenzy they will just keep adding to the flames, totally bizzare ,the thing that gets me why is it always newcastle like we are meant to be a fucking circus Redknapp and Micah Richards are shocking standards for Sky when compared to Keane, Neville, Carra, Souness. Tiresias
Managers who’ve lost the dressing room always say that Though most managers lose the dressing room in terms of losing support of players, Bruce just can't remember which room it is

toon25
Aye And when they get back, play loads of 5-a side If they’re really good boys, Lee will take down a couple of doors and stick them on milk crates for a game of head tennis
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Fourteen years to the day since this managerial giant of the game tactically outclassed and embarrassed Glenn Roeder at SJP btw.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
His quotes are getting super weird, hopefully that's a good sign and he knows he's binned soon Definitely feels like he wants to be binned but I still can't see the club doing it. MA and those around him are apathetic and haven't learned anything from 2016.

Candi_Hills
"lost the dressing" room How is this man paid to write I'm going to jump to Lee's defence. On top of churning out articles, think pieces and "5 things we learned" revelations, I reckon his job will also require him to do regular risk assessments of his desk space, maintain a portfolio about how he's incorporating equality & diversity into his writing and attend fortnightly seminars about how he can increase his productivity whilst still getting paid the same. He's probably got less fire in him than Steve Bruce at this point in his career.
huss9
brewcy's strangest quotes are the ones about him being an average manager who lacks a bit of this or that, but who will give every ounce of effort. bizarre.
KaKa
He's now whining about the virus again, as the reason why the team has been struggling Steve Bruce has revealed some of Newcastle’s coronavirus victims have been “goosed” by the illness. Skipper Jamaal Lascelles and fellow defenders Federico Fernandez and Emil Krafth are among those who have been struck down, while striker Allan Saint-Maximin has been out of action since November 21, with the virus still having an impact on the club. Asked if the ongoing situation was getting him down, head coach Bruce replied: “I’m not getting down about it. I know how difficult to handle players and staff who have had it. They are absolutely goosed, some of them. That becomes the problem I’m faced with. It’s a difficult thing to manage. “All of a sudden now, the canteen is closing, we might be thinking about dressing rooms to close again, all of this where the protocols are very difficult to adhere to. “We can’t have a team meeting, we can’t have a video analysis meeting, we can’t do this, we can’t do that. It becomes very, very difficult. “The most difficult thing for me is we were struck down a month ago and we are still suffering. We have still got our best player arguably (Saint-Maximin) struggling with it and it’s been seven or eight weeks. “We’ve got people like Fede (Fernandez), arguably the best pro we’ve got on our books, struggling with it, still. That’s the difficult thing, that people don’t understand. “Most people are OK, but some aren’t and it becomes very difficult. The captain, for example, couldn’t raise a leg at 45 minutes against Arsenal. He was in a state. “It has been a difficult situation and that’s what I get down with.” Saint-Maximin in particular has been a huge loss to Bruce, whose side have been desperately short of creativity during an eight-game winless run they hope will end at Arsenal on Monday evening. Asked about how costly the Frenchman’s absence had been, and if that showed the Magpies had become overreliant on him, Bruce said: “Have we become overreliant? We’ve been without him for weeks, so I can’t really answer that. “Have we missed him? One hundred per cent, yes, of course because he can give us something which gives you that spark in the last third, if you like, and playing on the counter-attack, we’re not quite the same when he’s not in the team.”
nufcjb
He's banging on about how the Covid situation has affected us. It's been more than a month now and in that time, other clubs' players and managers have been hit too and even more recently yet you don't hear them talking about it repeatedly. Some are lower league clubs with even less facilities and ability to manage the situation. Mrs Doubtfire here talks about it like it just happened yesterday and always has to bring up his favourite spot at the training ground was shutdown - the canteen. Happinesstan
He hasn't lost the dressing room, he's lost the canteen. Can see why he's struggling. Interpolic
So what are the basics Bruce means and what will he ask his players to do against the Gunners? Bruce said: "What are they? "Turn up, have a bit of pride in your performance, pass the ball to each other, take part in the game. "Forget about tactics or analysts, you need that too, but you have to do the basics as well. "We certainly didn't do it at Sheff United. Basics: 1. Attend the game 2. Pride 3. Passing 4. Participate Got it.
