I honestly doubt we'll sign anyone.

Maybe one loan deal, that'll be it.

We should just write the season off now.

Nah, I think they've just got very little to play with from Ashley so will hang around hoping to pick up scraps as Bruce alluded to.  They'll sign at least one player for +£10m and then a loan or two imo.  Probably late in the window so it'll take them until October to adapt.

We'll sign no one. Bruce won't kick up a fuss. The same pundits that came out and criticised Rafa for standing up to the club, will defend Bruce and criticise the club for not backing him.

Probably not far off what will happen. The best signings will be on loan like last season. Any player we get for £10m is going to be shit by definition. It's just throwing the money away in reality.

Good. Lets see how Bruce gets on under the same circumstances Rafa always had to operate under.

We will sign players.

No one of any ability to improve the first team. Look at it from Ashleys point of view, same squad minus Willock, but take into account also that ASM and Wilson missed a third of the season. By his reasoning if they stay fit we'll stay up even with the useless cushion faced cunt in the dug out.

Agents will be beating his door down with the scrap men on the last week of the window.

We'll probably sign a loan player but it'll be probably after the first 1 or 2 games of the season. Not so certain about Willock; Southampton, Villa, Palace are clubs around us who have been spending. If we don't stump up funds I think there's a good chance he'll go elsewhere.

90min has learned that Willock has been told by Arsenal that he can leave the club, and Newcastle have proposed a permanent deal which could be worth up to £25m including add-ons. That outlay is a significant investment in Willock, and exceeds the club's initial summer budget that had been limited to around £20m.

Newcastle's board recognise Willock would be a long-term investment but a deal is no closer to being done - because although Arsenal have given him permission to finalise the switch, the player himself is yet to decide what he wants to do.

Arsenal have told Newcastle they would be willing to accept a loan deal with an option to buy if that will help move the deal along, but the Magpies would rather secure a permanent deal now – especially as they have their loan slots - of which they only have two - lined up to be filled by other players.

Newcastle are growing impatient as they feel they have met all of Willock’s demands, but the Arsenal academy graduate still needs convincing that a permanent move to the North East is right for him.

As it stands Newcastle are the only club to agree terms and Arsenal have made it clear they have first option on him, but unless Willock agrees to the move, the deal will go no further. There is concern at the lack of movement among the Magpies' camp, but sources close to the club have told 90min that they remain confident that Willock will be part of their squad for next season.

Hope we get it done on a permanent deal. The players themselves could use a boost of seeing a good player who did well last season arrive for real and not another fucking temp loan.
