To be honest, we really should have had our ducks in line way before the window even opened. When your obviously favoured to go down but can possibly bankroll yourselves out of it, November and December were the times for discussions, January to finalise deals. What if we had discussions with players/agents and everything checked out but their respective clubs gave us the cold shoulder until January? The only problem for me here is are we working through earmarked alternatives or have they just put all their chips on number 1 targets? Whilst that's great they know who they want, and if links are to be believed they are pretty decent looking signings, our position is perilous right now.
