He was alright, someone called him 1 out of 10 which was ludicrous (as he is perfectly capable of a rash red card now and then lol). He will get there, and to be honest his infectious personality probably counts for more than you think on the pitch. His celebrating all the goals...

Teams will be looking to press him this season, as he's been caught a few times hanging onto the ball a fraction too long. By the same token, if they don't get the ball off him then we are just as likely to punish them on the counter like we did today.

I don’t think he’ll ever stand out for us as much as he did in his first 9 months or so.

nothing on him but he’s now surrounded by players of a similar standard.

can’t wait until everyone is totally on the same wavelength

Yeah he’s not going to be obviously the best player every week anymore, and he doesn’t really need to be.

Begging for this lad to get back up to scratch at some point. Starting to wonder if pre-Matteo was just a purple patch; we've very seldom seen those incredible levels since that run of brilliant results in Autumn 2022/23. Tonali helped him out big-time against Villa imo but today's trio has unbelievable potential as a unit, if Bruno can sort out the maddening sloppiness. It just didn't exist this time last year.

I thought he was pretty fine today but for getting caught on the ball once. He didn't stand out as Tonali did, but was by no means poor.

Absolutely this. So long as he’s got a smile on his face and over celebrating goals it’s all good.

Looked best when rotating into the CM position today. We made some lovely switches between the 3.

Tonali will help him as teams adjust to figuring out how to deal with him which will open space back up again. Bruno had some excellent games at the back end of last campaign and does so much grunt work for us but sides had figured out ways to limit his space & influence.

Bruno's role has changed a lot since that first 6 months with us, he's still the most gifted player we have, but with alot more people focusing on him, it makes his game alot harder.  Also with alot more quality in the squad he doesn't stand out the way he did.

Hes still the first name on the team sheet for me, and with Tonali now I think he's going to start to gain some space back again

Didn’t look good at all today, but Tonali looked absolutely disastrous against Aston Villa just a few weeks ago and was really good today. Remember him having a terrible game at Brighton away last season as well and the next game he was great again. An important thing is that for him its okay to have a bad game when the others are doing well, but a great game when everyone else is off could still win us matches.

I thought he was good like, people just fixate on his mistakes for some reason. Maybe because we naturally appreciate the people who play simple first-time passes.

But if Bruno doesn’t allow himself to take those extra touches he’ll never be able to get turned and hurt teams the way he does.

He was decent. Started off slowly and grew in to it,nowt spectacular but when we were having trouble bringing the ball out he does what he does and breaks the press when we needed it. A 6.75 out of 10 game.

Sorry like, but you don't beat a 3/4 star team 5-1 with passengers like.

He may not have been the standout player but the whole team were solid 6 or 7s today at bare minimum

I think sometimes he tries too hard - where before he was keeping things simple.
