Assumption doesn't mean we've caved though.

I mean this genuinely KI as you're a great member of this forum but you seem to be getting really angry and agitated very easily on here recently in a number of threads.

It's been an incredibly frustrating summer but just seems really out of character for you.

He's probably getting about 30 minutes of sleep a day atm tbf to the poor lad.

It’d be a club record signing of one of the hottest prospects in world football, I don’t know how anyone couldn’t be excited.

Because he’s replacing Isak I guess.

Setting myself up for a fall, I’m sure, but there’s echoes of Ferdinand replacing Cole, for me, without the months of Kitson in between. As good as Isak is individually, he’s hardly contributed a great deal to our overall team play in his time here. He’s spent most matches looking disconnected from the rest of the side, even while scoring prolifically.

Sesko might not match his goal tally, especially early on, but he might help the wingers and midfielders by giving them more to work with in terms of hold-up play and link play. We’ll actually have a forward who’ll challenge for aerial balls and give us a different outlet that way, too. It’s not sexy but it’s still a massive part of the game.

Because he'd be replacing a much better player

The way people are going on you'd think we were the only club to ever sell a player to a bigger club. Long as we use the money properly we can come out of it stronger.

It's not that he's replacing Isak that makes this feel meh to me. It's the fact he's replacing a Liverpool bound Isak.

I thought that's what I was known for tbh.

It's just my obsession at the moment ,especially with needing to be at home all the time at the moment and getting little sleep. I've always taken Newcastle far too seriously and let it affect my own mood though. It'll pass once my brain decides to drop the catharsis for my own good. Genuinely appreciate the concern though and appreciate its also probably irritating to see on here constantly.

Torres for Carroll/Suarez for me.

It’s possible that an Eddie coached Šeško will be better than a non-Eddie coached Isak. Our greatest strength is Howe’s ability to get the best out of players.

Or an Eddie coached Isak tbf, he's completely useless when we're trapped in our own half, there's definitely room to improve as absurd as he is on his day.

It's not losing the player that's a problem for me. It's how its happening.

The stand needs to be made on principle, not out of desperation to keep a player that doesn't want to be here

Still don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that we keep Isak until Jan or next summer as well as getting Sesko, we were apparently going to be getting Ekitike while Isak was meant to be staying, weren't we?

If he does come in, I’d be about as happy as I could be, considering the shitty circumstances.

That said, losing Isak- especially the way it’s all been playing out- feels like it’d be a bigger blow than the new signing would be a boost. So yeah, still feels like a net loss to me.

Aye. But that was before Isak threw a wobbler. I suspect if and when Isak goes then best case scenario is Wissa & Sesko.

That was the plan coming into this summer apparently. All the noise from the media sounds like its to facilitate his move. Maybe that's all it is though, media speculation. I think we'll know this week one way or another

Id be stunned if Isak is still here by the Villa game.

It's sexy as fuck imo. Proper football.

You don't spend £70m on a rotation striker like. He'll 100% replace Isak with Wissa being the Wilson replacement and the more likely player to start for a while.

Isak was on the bench for our final against Man U remember [emoji38]

I'd be happy if that's the case. We have a lot of transfer business to conclude beyond just the striker and not a whole lot of time to get it done.

Obviously the above is only true if we can get strikers in to replace.

I mean despite what he's saying publicly Eddie himself may rather go into the season with two strikers who actually want to play for the club, like.

I'd rather he stayed but I'd much rather we sold him for £150m than reward him with a bumper new contract for this season so he can leave next after how he's gone on. IMO that sends a much worse message than selling someone for the third highest fee in the history of the sport.

I mean last season we had Isak who couldn't run after 60 minutes and Wilson who couldn't run at all. The squad could well be in a much better position in two weeks than it was least year.

No chance Man Utd can afford that without selling. Also think the price pretty much confirms it’s an Isak replacement
