I’m all for it. He’d also have some kind of shit mural on the wall - “Live, Laugh, Love” or similar shite.

He'll go to Villa surely?

Why you need a good scouting system. I maintain from the FFP thread, we don’t need to have their levels of spending to challenge for league and win, if we have spurs level that’s more than enough. Beyond that, it’s just overspending for the sake of it. There’s plenty of good quality players out there, just need to find them with a patient approach and have a top manager.

Grealish is a wanker, this generation’s Stephen Ireland. Fuck him.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

So if Villa or Chelsea even drew, a point would be good enough for us in the final two games on the basis of goal difference and being caught? (Assuming City obviously get a place). -
There’s a level of hatred here that is genuinely unsettling.

We had loads to play for in the league games before those cup finals though, because it was the middle of the season. We couldn't throw them. Besides the momentum argument, these league games mean nothing to Man U and Spurs. Momentum is nice, but imagine if one manager wins their pointless league game at the cost of getting knocks and injuries, while the other throws the league game and has the strongest available side for the final. That'll be on their minds. It's a very different situation to our Carabao finals.

A lot of people in this thread assume every game is played on paper. Except ours They're proven wrong almost every week but never shift their outlook. It's bizarre. -
Going just by odds it's like 10-15% chance, nowhere near VERY LIKELY.

Fofana (seen as key man), Colwill, Chalobah.... They bought Tosin and he's still on the bench with Fofana injured. This is a warning for anyone like Guehi wanting to play for England, given that Hall and Tino (and now Burn) are in the England squad from getting on the pitch and impressing. Fair dos if Guehi wants to stay in London, but not the safest of career moves.

I'm a contender for the biggest VAR hater on this forum but I don't see this injury as being a solid argument against it. It could've happened at any point in the match ultimately, just like Given's did.

I don't expect Man U and Spurs to "throw" the games on Friday. If anything, both are desperate for some momentum going into the final, which with CL on the line is far more monumental for them than anything they have played in for quite some time. My guess is that they will both go for it first half and look to bring off vital players in the second to rest them. I don't think it would make sense for them to just play peripheral players from the start. Were there no final, both teams would be in "beach" mode, assuming such thing exists. Just us and finals, but we went into the Carabao final against Man U after two draws and a defeat in the league. Before Liverpool, we won two and lost one (at Liverpool), and also lost the FA cup game against Brighton. Our approach and energy on the field were vastly superior in the second final despite us facing better opposition.
-
Seems to me that people want to play them to rub their noses in it. But we can do that now anyway. We are superior by every measure. They'll probably never finish ahead of us again (which ALS said after the Raylor game was all that mattered). All playing them is going to do is give them the chance to go on like that's not the case if things work out for them - and they'll totally believe it if history is any gage.

Arsenal vs. Newcastle United: 18/05/25 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

Yeah I'm not confident at all. If this was at home or we weren't missing key players e.g. Joelinton, Trippier/Hall fair enough but I just don't see a win down there. -
That’s a great result for them.
-
Not raising the flag didn't do the damage, it was the goal post. Should we start a conversation about potentially removing those and have instead VAR decide whether a shot had been inside the digital goal posts?
-
They cant. It'd be the end of VAR.

Just a point, Forest only made 3 subs. There can be an argument over the 3 substitution windows being too restrictive, however ignoring that for another day. Surely when a player is clearly injured, a sub outside the sub windows should be permitted, not just for concussion. I guess that will throw up a 'are they really injured' argument. I do wonder if a discussion was had with the fourth official, to see if they could make another sub.

Lots of confidence in here!

Yep, but they’re super subtle on our authentic kit.

The old Jack Grealish, yes. This current version of Jack Grealish has had the flair and excitement completely rinsed out of him. He's as boring as watching paint dry now.
