Ikon
Fear he's just that type of player that goes missing a fair bit. Still relatively young, I hope he can grow in influence. Could be that he's the type of player who is at his best when the team has a lot of possession and good passing and much of the play goes through him... He's not the type of player who runs around like a headless chicken trying to get "involved". In a functioning team he'll be more than enough involved. He's an elegant player and knows when to keep it and when to play it quick and forward or whatever direction.

nufcjb
Absolutely a passenger today. Put him in CM and he just gets even worse. Did nothing. Just gave the ball away countless of times.
Gallowgate Toon
Aye, he was horrible and it's not like he's good enough off the ball when we're under the cosh to compensate. Tiote, as fucking crap as he might be, has some presence about him. Genuinely think we missed him when he went off, which is a pitiful state of affairs, nobody else was there to get a grip of the game. Sissoko should be that man but he's just not got the attitude. ujpest doza
Easily the worst player on the pitch today. Utter shite.
TRon
Technically he's a fantastic player, but he's too lightweight to play centre mid in the premier. Looks like Marveaux Mk II. Carr needs to be sacked, he's buying players who suit the Dutch league with no thought to how they will translate to England. I'm sure Gini will come good actually but we need proper midfielders to accommodate him in the side.
Tiresias
Rubbish today.
Guest neesy111
Plays like Kevin Nolan IMO. Brilliant when involved but disappears for long periods in games. Got a feeling we won't be able to find the system where he'll be involved most of the time.
The College Dropout
On his best days for us he's been quiet for the majority of the game.
mozy
Today was exactly why I didn't want him playing CM for us, especially next to the weak as piss Anita. They just get bullied man.

He's another #10 player like Ayoze, De Jong, Marveaux and fuck knows who else. Shame about the engine room but hey ho, they all have sell on value. Yorkie
On his best days for us he's been quiet for the majority of the game. Well on his best day for us he scored 4 goals for FUCK sake. Like everyone else in defense and attack, he needs to be playing around a centre midfield that isn't totally shit.

Jaqen
On his best days for us he's been quiet for the majority of the game. Well on his best day for us he scored 4 goals for f*** sake. Like everyone else in defense and attack, he needs to be playing around a centre midfield that isn't totally s***. He's right though, even in that game he was fairly quiet in terms of general play just clinical as fuck and made some good runs into the box. You forget he's playing most of the time but here's an obvious quality there.

Gallowgate Toon
Georginio Wijnaldum admits Newcastle United played as individuals and not as a team against Leicester City - and accepts he himself must “do way better” in the weeks to come. The Magpies succumbed to a 3-0 home defeat to the Foxes, who moved to the top of the Premier League table, and looked lethargic and second-best throughout. Along with just about every single one of his team-mates, Wijnaldum was disappointing against Leicester and he believes their poor performance was down to their inability to work together as a team. Wijnaldum said: “We have worked hard as a team but there were too many individuals (against Leicester). And if you do that you can see the problems. “The manager was also mad. We had players who have had good games which we didn’t win, but it was disappointing. “You can play games badly, we are human, but you must always work to get the result. “We played as individuals so you don’t get the result. We must play more as a team.” The Dutch international started the game on the left wing but was forced to move into a central position alongside Vurnon Anita once Cheick Tiote limped off with an injury just 18 minutes into the game. And the £14.5million summer signing from PSV Eindhoven, admits he prefers to play in a more advanced role than in a defensive one, but says he will feature wherever Steve McClaren believes is best for the side. However, while assessing his own performance against Leicester, Wijnaldum accepts he was not good enough - even in a slightly different role - and says he is determined to put in a better display during United’s visit to Crystal Palace next weekend. When asked if if he found it frustrating being asked to play in a deeper role, Wijnaldum responded: “It is difficult. First half I played on the left side and I was free to walk where I want. “Because of the injury to Cheicky I had to move inside more. “It is not like I can’t play there but it is difficult for me because I have the quality to make goals in an advanced person. “If a manager wants you to play in a position you play there. “Of course I am one of the players who has to help the team. “I am disappointed in myself because I want to help the team and get a better performance. “I am a key player to this team and I must do way better than I did (against Leicester). I was disappointed. “It is a different position, a little bit defensive. “It is difficult to do the things you do normally. I must still be creative and help the team. “Next week we have a game and I will try to be better then.”

Beren
It was his lack of effort which disappointed me. Looked like he didn't fancy it from the first minute Culture of losing has set in. Happened with Sissoko et al, happened with the new boys. To paraphrase Rob Elliot paraphrasing Pardew "where we are is about right" - this mantra is believed, accepted and thoroughly okay. Compare that with the sense of entitlement to European football and trophies experienced by Liverpool players. I think our squad is shockingly imbalanced, but that we have a few really good players. Given the (unavailable) choice though, I'd get rid of them all and start again in the Championship with a team that learns how to be winners. As it is, the old lot continue to pollute the new lot, who pollute the newer lot etc.
TRon
It was his lack of effort which disappointed me. Looked like he didn't fancy it from the first minute He's basically saying just that in the interview. Shocking attitude and you really don't want to put him in midfield if he isn't up for it.
