Sibierski Posted January 31 Share Posted January 31 Jones is exceptional. Just people won’t be able to fully appreciate him because his whole career has been stop / start. But in terms of getting the ball deep, press resistant, playing forward, he’s superb. Hopefully Liverpool do sell though in summer, because they’ll end up spending 3x the amount of replacing someone of similar ability at best. Rock and a hard place for them, because I assume they are not keen on giving him the wages Jones wants because of his availability issues in past seasons. Wirtz will be back in the Bundesliga within 3 years imo, Isak off to Saudi, maybe having hit double figures for them, Salah, VVD & "Robbo" long gone. His close control is excellent and there aren't many players better at playing meaningful forward passes than him. We could do with him for sure.
