Yeah, I've more than come to terms with the prospect of 'the big 6' not being in the Premier League. As a Newcastle fan I don't feel like I'd miss them a great deal and (in an Ashley-less world), would be just as excited for the new season, if not moreso. 

But losing them would still be fundamentally wrong and a very bad thing. Mainly for the hundreds of thousands of their fans.

The competition format already sounds like an absolute borefest. You play a bunch of group games and you have the knockout phase to play the same teams again. Absolute shite that.

The whole concept is farcical like. So, what happens if they do leave their domestic leagues? The same 20 teams play eachother every year, forever? There's no european competition because they wont be allowed, theres no domestic cup competition of any note because its just the same 20 teams. Sounds dull as fuck.

I guess the plan is to slowly grow it but aye, it sounds absolutely teeth.

Sounds like NFL. Maybe they can keep it fresh by moving the Dons from Milton Keynes to Inverness.

I imagine there's a fair few mercenaries playing for these European Super League teams, but not all of them. I very much doubt the money men involved in getting things to this stage consulted their big superstar players.
