We were making clumsy and comedic mistakes not so long ago that would lead to goals or fouls or penalties or even red cards. Everyone has been well drilled and discplined whil playing with focus. Howe and the coaching team are doing some job. Well done. Yep, great point. We were absolute perverts for a points-dropping individual error, right up until the end of Watford. Basically none now. gbandit
Feel in such safe hands with Eddie, even going into difficult games I’m expecting us to compete every time for at least a point

LionOfGosforth
Getting Lascelles and Clark out of the side for Burn and Schar and Targett to strengthen the left, allied to much greater fitness, team spirit and professionalism has saved our season. samptime29
Only lost 1 of our 9 of our home games under Eddie (and that was Man City). Totally different proposition at home now.

Eddie Howe: P4 W3 D1 L0 GD+5. Newcastle United moved out of the bottom three for the first time since September with 10 points from a possible 12. Howe's men beat relegation rivals Everton and Brentford in that run. Up against managers doing jobs they should be with budgets/teams that should be getting those results. Was clear from the beginning of the 2nd half we were struggling. We looked jaded. RodneyCisse
Was a little too young for Keegan but does anyone get similar vibes from Eddie or am I going too far?
gbandit
Think you’re going a bit far like, Keegan is in a league of his own for me, with Bobby in a league of his own after. Keegan wasn’t just a revolutionary figure for the club but just a man of pure class. I think Eddie has some of those classy qualities and if he wins something for us and stays for years he could prove to be right up there but let’s give him a few seasons first

There's nothing to suggest Keegan has/had more "class" than Howe for what I've seen so far.

We do still make individual errors, but now we respond to them: “To a man, we fought and worked for each other. If somebody made a mistake, somebody else bailed them out. The togetherness is unbelievable." Largely the same players, but Howe has got them running through brick walls together. Bruce had them sat on brick walls eating their second lunch. Turns out that was totally wrong, and that edge has been gained on the training ground and through fashioning this incredibly functional 4-3-3. Play well and win, play badly and win - the edge is definitely there now. The Edge is fine.

Eddie has a long way to go to become a club legend but he’s well on his way.
Thiago
He puts the work in and it shows. I also appreciate how his message doesn't change. We're in great form and he could be lapping it up like some of our former managers would. Instead he doubles down and preaches the need for the same level of hard work, focus, and commitment. We've heard a few players - most notably Ryan Fraser - talk about the level of detail that goes into our preparation and I'm delighted.

SUPERTOON
Interesting comments from Howe post match, saying how aware they where that we have 4 consecutive away games coming so they knew how important it was to win. Think it explains the second half performance a bit more, and hopefully that pressure is released on Thursday.

LionOfGosforth
The man never has and never will rest on his laurels. It's not in his nature. None of this "letting our hair down" before a 0-5 howking like Pardew or taking massive credit for an occasional win and threatening reporters like Bruce. He's a workaholic and we're incredibly lucky to have him. There may come a time in the future when we need more to make the big leap, but i'd like to think he could be our boss for many years to come and we can achieve our goals with him and nobody would deserve it more.
