Still amazed at his English.

What a bloke.

I don’t like it when the interviewers use words that some overseas players don’t really know yet or understand

Bruno has grasped the language very quickly but in this interview the bloke asking the questions doesn’t do him much favours - really ruined it for me

Nah man, good way for him to learn imo.  He handles it very well.

I've got an interview tomorrow and I'll be shaking like a shitting dog, it doesn't even phase him speaking in a new language.

He's dived in feet first an fully committed, I fucking love it.

Yeah I see what you mean but at least give the bloke a chance and ease him in

Just a real pet hate of mine when interviewers do this

Played well all game. But last 10 minutes or so noticed he was making runs into the box and almost willing us to score. Great mentality. Shame his shot was blocked really, but we did get the Isak last minute out of it

Seemed a bit higher up the pitch tonight than he has in a while.

He’s definitely more effective higher up imo. Let’s get a CDM in and release him.

Edit: Up the pitch that is, not to Real Madrid. Hold the bedsheets.

Tonight was a proper grind and he never stopped or dipped. Of the opinion his constant drive and quality got us that win tonight. Was it Ancelotti that described Essien as being the battery in his watch or something? Bruno is absolutely that for us. I can see he's desperate to be in around the box, mind. He wants the glory.

Really like the positional fluidity between him and Longstaff yesterday. Think Howe tried to rotate in game for legs as well as tactical reasons, but Bruno has the best touch & vision in the final third of pretty much any of our players and we should be getting him in & around there as much as possible.

Absolutely. His threaded through balls, flicks and backheels are so dangerous in the final third. He’s a goal threat too and I really feel we have lost something by keeping him deeper this season.

He’s obviously great playing in a deeper position too because he’s such a good player but I think if we can get a more specialist player for the deep role we’ll see real benefits with Bruno playing higher.
