STM
I think Bruno himself wants to play further forward. We'd be daft not to sign a DM to give us the option.

Or preferably one that can do things going forward as well as defensively. Would make us less predictable and give us much better tactical versatilty. Both before a game as well as swapping roles during a game if needed. As in a strong dynamic box to box midfielder that has good technical and tactical ability Edited April 6, 2023 by Ikon

He was better second half and more so because WHU had dropped off badly after conceding the third but was overrun the first half. Still waiting for him to dominate a top team away from home. Watched Enzo properly for the first time on Tuesday and you can see what the extra £65m gives you as ridiculous as that fee was. The extra pace, power and mobility. That bit extra top midfielders have. Still love him though ? Hope he makes me eat my words at Stamford Bridge last game of the season if there’s something to play for. Would be nice with one that can offer things going forward, whether that is ball carrying ability/dribbling or progressive passing.
Big Geordie
It's crazy to think that I believe Bruno was played as a midfield destroyer at Lyon? As a midfielder - he pretty much has it all. He will be a future club captain. Edited April 6, 2023 by Big Geordie

You can easily flip that and say West Ham only had their 10 minutes of joy because we sat off after going 2-0 up. Even at HT, Bruno's stats were great. It's a bit weird to label Fernandez a top midfielder and then say Bruno isn't. So far, in the PL, Bruno is more successful at dribbling, duels, intercepting, gets dribbled past less, loses the ball less, and is more of a goal threat. Bruno pisses all over Enzo right now. Enzo against Liverpool was pretty bad, dropped deep to collect ball but was nothing special. Not sure we saw the same game. Kante on the other hand was fantastic. Bruno is the heart and soul of a team sitting 3rd right now. Without him, as evident when he was suspended, this team is a mid-table side. The Prophet
"World class" like "big club" is such a subjective bar that it's almost irrelevant. Bruno is a brilliant footballer who would slot into any midfield in the league, perhaps bar City.

Was that the Enzo alongside Kante and Kovacic in what was really a middle 5 that still didn't create much against a midfield that most think has lost its legs ? LiquidAK
This guy has been in the league just over a year and is already a good shout to being the best in the league. Still can’t believe we got him

JUICE690
Needs to stop with those rash challanges just outside the box mind you. Could have been the 2nd goal we would have conceded from them. Edited April 6, 2023 by JUICE690
LionOfGosforth
Enzo is good, perhaps very good but it just serves to highlight what an outrageous deal we got signing Bruno for a THIRD of the cost. Bruno is an absolute mentality monster from day ONE, we were bottom 3 and he just wanted to get out there and play and get a struggling team the points they needed in a dogfight and fuck the pressure. Magnificent human as well. Wouldn't swap him for anyone in the world.
Gallowgate Toon
Interesting what happens in the summer with a new midfielder(s) to help unlock Bruno. I think we're seeing so much more positional fluidity that a specialist DM wouldn't fit in the majority of games, it'll be another who can do a bit of everything but is maybe more physically explosive than Bruno is.
