If they truly want to banging the "protect officials" drum, you can't be banning Mitro and not Klopp. What Mitro did was much worse, but Klopp should still receive a touchline ban of some form.

I always find touchline bans weird. 

I mean they can still communicate to their assistant right so they actually get a better view of the game from the stand and just tell the assistant what subs to make etc. 

 

A ban should be a ban from the stadium imo.

There has been a few times in the past where managers have been banned from the stadium because they were doing just that.

 

Klopp will either get a suspended ban, or a fine, if they even go that far.

Even if they do give him a ban, I’m fully expecting it to not apply until next season.

With Klopp, a stadium ban just means he can't verbally abuse the officials in person for a few games, which is hardly anything. It's the culture he's set and is a part of which is the problem. Even his (much younger and less experienced) players don't carry on like him.

 

I'd be all for a very heavy penalty here. If Mitrovich gets a lengthy ban for his behaviour, then an adult who is in charge of the whole team with many more years of experience should get worse.

 

Ultimately, for persistently implying that officials are corrupt and haranguing them in front of a baying crowd should be sackable as it undermines the integrity of the league.

Pards got two games and £20k fine for which was obviously outside the current (quite particular) context of conduct towards officials. Klopp should be getting at least a game and a fine. Frankly Pardew's was too soft as well but whatever.

Ok, after some reflection I think we need 4 points from Arsenal/Leeds and 3 points from Brighton/Leicester. We won’t lose to Arsenal and despite Fat Sam’s reprise and Leeds bluster we are far too good for them. Either way I see us beating Chelsea last game of the season too a bit like the Fulham Rafa game.

Don't know if it's already been posted but I have to say it's ridiculous you've got the CEO of Ref Support UK (who I don't think I've ever even heard of ) talking about points deductions and how the FA should do more (https://www.givemesport.com/fa-urged-to-hit-liverpool-with-points-deduction-following-4-3-win-v-tottenham/). 

 

As much as Klopp is a cunt who I hope gets hung out to dry at every opportunity, if the referees out there being abused who you want to support had a sufficient pair on them to keep a match under control and punish accordingly you wouldn't need to be talking about points deductions.

Is a bit of a pisser we will be playing Leeds who'll have Allardyce there. I know they're shit and we should be beating them comfortably, but that big lump seems to have some Voodoo shit going on since we sacked him. Can't stand the bloke.

Nearly every time there's been 3 legit managers at a club, the 3rd everyone just down's tools. it's too many different ideas, players lose confidence in the project. It happened to us with Shearer, we went out with a whimper. It happened to Watford last season when they sacked Ranieri and brought in Hodgson - they just fell off. Chelsea with Lampard. Southampton with this lad.

 

It's such a terrible fit personnel wise. They still have Championship level defenders and a GK with zero confidence (playing anyone else might be a benefit though). Allardyce is going there for the cheque and to be back in the limelight. Miracle worker if they stay up (they're not actually in the bottom 3 anyway), a draw and a win might be enough to keep em up on GD. And it won't be his fault if they go down.

Dyche escaped any criticism for taking Burnley down. IMO Howe was more stained by Bournemouth going down even though Bournemouth were literally robbed.

That's a good point that. Think because Howe did it a prettier way, his achievements of keeping them up for so long don't get recognised. Because Dyche, Pulis, etc play ugly football, it's seen more as scrapping to stay up.
