Parsley
Jack Wilshere. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/07/21/jack-wilshere-wanted-swansea-paul-clement/ Swansea and West Ham also interested. Can't see this one being a goer.
Paully
There's something a bit bullshitty about this constant Rolan link. We were linked with him quite a few times while Carr was here and nothing materialised, i can't see Rafa thinking he's the type of player we need, especially now Carr has gone. Could be his agent feeding rumours to the press to try and drum up some Premier League interest in his guy? I always thought this about Gayle. He was constantly linked through pardew's time here and then Rafa signed him. Gayle was constantly linked?!
joeyt
Jack Wilshere. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/07/21/jack-wilshere-wanted-swansea-paul-clement/ Swansea and West Ham also interested. Sima
Don't want Wilshere, his lifestyle outside of football is horrendous and can't have helped his rehabilitation time from his numerous injuries.
Big Geordie
There will be a reason as to why none of the other 'top clubs' have gone in for him. I've heard he is a proper radge-packet as well.

TRon
Always thought Wilshere was a bit of a nothing player really. Technically decent without any real cutting edge and a bit lightweight. I'll be surprised if Rafa wants him.
TK-421
"But Clement and Swansea could face competition from West Ham United, who Wilshere is open to joining, and Newcastle United." Just seems like we are tagged onto the rumours for any mid-range player now.

toontownman
Ashley Young? Would certainly be an instant albeit very short term upgrade on Gouffran. Would fit the type of character and hard working player Rafa likes. Think his best days are far past though. Even for a year might be a risk. His professionalism and experience might be good to have in the squad. Especially a squad of young wingers.
Village Idiot
Injuries aside, Wilshere has always seemed so ineffectual to me.
Skeletor
Would rather we spent that kind of money on McCarthy than Wilshire.

Super Duper Branko Strupar
Wilshire is the biggest fraud. At least Cleverly accepted he was shite. Wilshire will forever maintain he's any good at all.
U2
Wilshere doesn't seem physical enough to be a Rafa player as a CM. I wonder if Rafa fancies him to play at #10, which is imo his best position.
triggs
Always thought Wilshere was a bit of a nothing player really. Technically decent without any real cutting edge and a bit lightweight. I'll be surprised if Rafa wants him. I would say the complete opposite of that. Tries to do the spectacular too often. Definitely not lightweight

dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Would rather we spent that kind of money on McCarthy than Wilshire. Really? Surprised by that, I always thought that Wilshire was a cut above players like McCarthy (when fit).
ponsaelius
Wilshere was bossing Barcelona's midfield as a 19 year old. Injuries have killed him and he should be avoided. He was not shite though. Calling him shite is like saying Alex Pato was shite as a 19 year old for Milan.
Mole_Toonfan
He's very skilled, it's just like most young English players nowadays he's a bit thick and never really improved the necessary parts of his game to become a great player.
TRon
Would rather we spent that kind of money on McCarthy than Wilshire. Really? Surprised by that, I always thought that Wilshire was a cut above players like McCarthy (when fit). Do they play the same role? McCarthy as far as I know is someone who specialises in breaking up play and would be seen as the midfield enforcer. Not really sure what Wilshere is. thenige
Will be extremely surprised if Wilshere doesn't end up at West Ham if he moves permanently from Arsenal. As for his attitude, he's certainly no more of a bellend than Shelvey in fairness and think given our current stature we'd be crazy not to take him assuming he'd fit into the system Rafa wants to play next season. Mole_Toonfan
I doubt Wenger would have persisted with him for so long if he had an attitude problem, becomes he comes across as right charver off the pitch doesn't mean he has an attitude problem. We should obviously steer clear, but that isn't the reason.
